Selected as the trusted partner to bring fiber through Abu Dhabi’s Wastewater System

Abu Dhabi Water & Electricity Authority required an advanced robust and secure communications infrastructure. We partnered with H2O Networks, one of the pioneers of providing fiber connectivity technology in the UK at that time. Following its successful implementation in the UK, this innovation in fiber optic was the first to be deployed in the region. The project’s scope included the supply, laying, termination and testing of 500km of fiber optic cables using Abu Dhabi’s existing sewerage network as the route for the fiber optic cables. The purpose of the project was to connect all Abu Dhabi primary substations to DMS control center.

The scope also included inspection of the cable router using CCTVs and cleaning by using a full automatic water recycling system.

This was the fastest and a cost-effective way for the utility to hook up the whole of Abu Dhabi city to fiber optic cables with minimal disruption to the infrastructure.
